Power and Security Upgrade

The purpose of the project was to build a high-security steel cage within and existing and live switch. The security requirements from the client were very specific and included various requirements such as fastener type, maximum gap sizes around penetrations and size of mesh. The cage was required to be fastened below the raised access floor and secured to both sides of the access floor panels. This would prevent any person from entering the secured area from either above or below the floor. Another level of security was that was requested required us to install aluminum covers over the cable tray to prevent tampering with cables from above.

Also as a part of this project we also installed new power provisions dedicated to the new equipment to be installed within the security cage. We installed new Remote Power Panels that were fed from existing Power Distribution Units that were feeding live traffic throughout this project.
