COW/COLT Structure Expansion

The scope of work on this project included the expansion of an asset storage/charging structure within the facility’s secure yard to allow for storage of additional mobile equipment. The expanded area was constructed to match the existing reinforced concrete foundations with a steel support frame and standing seam metal roof over metal deck. 

During construction, it was discovered that the original structure was under-designed and did not meet building codes. Therefore, the designer added reinforcing steel to the existing structure which essentially doubled the scope of work. Once the structure was built, new lights and receptacles were installed, and both the new and existing steel was painted to match.
