Tap Box & Electrical Upgrade

The scope of this project included installing two new tap boxes and building out a new electrical room within the current space.

Once the tap boxes were installed, we performed detailed MOPs for tying into the existing switchgear. Each of the tie-ins were done during an after hours maintenance window to minimize the customer impact. In order to reduce the amount of time the batteries were running, we tied in one tap box per night for two nights.

After the tap boxes were tied in, we performed an IR scan and a resistance test to ensure they were installed correctly. Additionally, in the new electrical room we installed new carpet, new paint, and a new door and the associated hardware.
