Exterior Mechanical & Drainage Improvements

The scope of this project included the replacement of two end-of-life condensing units with new Vertiv equipment on the East side of the MSC. One of the most challenging aspects to this project was maintaining schedule with severe winter conditions that included snow, ice, and -10° F temperatures. Nonetheless, the crews were able to complete the project on time by shop fabricating as much as possible and using temp heat as necessary.

In addition to the mechanical scope, we fixed existing drainage issues by reworking the slope of the asphalt lot, and installing a new surface drain in front of the storage shed adjacent to the cell tower. In an effort to accommodate the winter conditions, we utilized ground thaw and concrete blankets which allowed us to pour new concrete and maintain schedule.
