Power & Cooling Uplift
This 2,900 SF interior switch room renovation incorporates new, functioning equipment while also providing space for expansion. Four Edge cabinet equipment aisles with associated in-row cooling stand ready for future use, while fourteen new 19kW Edge cabinets serve immediate needs. Two Vertiv DSE CRAC units provide cooling for the space. Electrical equipment includes two MEC panels, two 800A Line Reactors, two equipment row power distribution panels and overhead A & B busway in each new aisle. An overhead auxiliary framing system with cable basket and data tray is ready for future data cabling. Two new BAS panels provide necessary control and system monitoring. The existing fire protection system was modified to incorporate a new Halon zone and VESDA coverage.
Outside, new Opticool condensing units are mounted to a new steel rooftop platform. Additional exterior improvements include refrigerant piping with insulation and Vertiv curb mounted condensing units.
The entire project was completed within a live and operational switch, with zero interruptions to the ongoing operations of the facility.
