For this project, six new Computer Room Air-Conditioning (CRAC) Units and Air-Cooled Condensing (ACC) Units were installed to replace six existing glycol cooled CRAC units and drycoolers. Associated piping systems were replaced in their entirety.
Three new rooftop units were also installed to replace three existing rooftop units. Modifications to the existing Air Sampling Smoke Detection (ASSD) systems were made to accommodate the replacement CRAC units.
This project was phased such that only one CRAC unit in each functional area was offline at any given time. Temporary cooling was also provided to maintain cooling redundancy.
